Our clients can access individual advice through our referral process. In most cases, the referral is made by the line manager, who will complete the online referral process in close consultation with the person they are referring. For more information, go to our ‘How to make a referral’ page.
Information for Avon Partnership Occupational Health Service clients (Please check this service is covered by your organisation’s contract with us).
We can give you independent, specialist advice about health-related issues at work. Queries tend to fall into one of four categories:
- Return to work: an employee is returning to work after an illness or medical procedure.
- Sickness absence: an employee has experienced long-term or recurring periods of sickness absence.
- Advice on specific conditions: an employee has specific health considerations (for example, pregnancy, a disability, or asthma), or their work is affected by a specific condition (for instance a mental health or musculoskeletal condition).
- Determining cause/effect: if there is a concern that an employee’s medical condition may have been caused by their work.
You can find information about the referral process here. In some more complex cases, it may be useful to discuss a referral before you complete the referral form. Call us on 0117 342 3400 if we can help answer your initial questions.
