Information for Avon Partnership Occupational Health Service clients

(Please check whether these services are covered by your organisation’s contract with us).

Immunisations

If your role requires you to have certain vaccinations, we can administer these as part of our service. Vaccinations will be determined by your role (and employer) and could include (but are not limited to): Hepatitis A and B; Hepatitis B; BCG and Mantoux; MMR; Varicella (chicken pox); Influenza; Polio/Tetanus/Diphtheria; Typhoid and Pertussis.

The UK Government’s Green Book is a useful reference – this lists the latest information on vaccines recommended for specific roles. To check which vaccinations you had as a child, this Vaccine Timeline is a useful point of reference.

Blood tests

We offer a blood test service for when blood tests are required for work, for instance, following a contamination injury, or to do antibody testing (to check for Hepatitis B, for example).

Contamination injury

We offer immediate support during office hours when someone has had a contamination injury at work. You can call our advice line during weekday office hours. If you need support out of office hours please call you clinical site manager if you work at one of the hospitals, or follow your organisation’s health and safety policy.
