Information for Avon Partnership Occupational Health Service clients

Here is how our counselling services work:
- If you are an employee, you can refer yourself directly for counselling.
- You can book an appointment by calling 0117 342 3400 (please check this service is covered by your organisation’s contract). We offer appointments with male and female counsellors (let us know if you have a preference).
- If you work in health or social care, and need to speak to someone urgently or out of office hours: Where to get urgent help for mental health – NHS
- Appointments can be held virtually or in person at one of our sites (see below).
- We explain the number of sessions we can offer you in your first appointment (this depends on our contract with your employer or educational provider – please note, we can only offer short-term courses of counselling.
Our team of counsellors are all BACP-* or UKCP-accredited* and skilled in using a range of techniques, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement De-sensitisation and Reprocessing). They have in-depth experience of supporting students and employees (including those providing essential services), as well as helping people recover from a bereavement or trauma.
